Today we waited for a visit from South Cave Primary School. Watching out the window we saw a headmaster, teachers, some helpers and 22 children briskly walking and running through the village of Ellerker carrying hand bells, music sheets and music stands. The children all filed into the lounge and got ready to perform. The children ( and their teachers ) sang and played their handbells beautifully. Unfortunately, 3 of the children became unwell during the performance, fainting!!! All the other children continued to perform professionally as their friends recovered in the dining room with a glass of squash. It was probably due to their brisk warm march in coats and santa hats, singing in a warm room and their nerves. A huge thank you to all South Cave Primary School who entertained us all. The Residents and Staff very much enjoyed their visit. After the performance all the children were served a cold drink and presented with a selection box from the residents as a thank you. The children were highly delighted with their chocolate.
